  • Seven Ways to Live, in partnership with Sankofa Internation Circle and Collinwood Friends Community Garden, has created 5 workshops for participants of The Growing Space: Summer of Healing Cohort during the summer of 2024.

A paid 8-week program designed for individuals seeking to level up in their personal growth and inner healing journey. The program offers a unique blend of leadership development, holistic wellness practices, and mindfulness-centered workshops through weekly virtual and in-person sessions. The goal is to support participants in their evolution to become better advocates for themselves, their purpose, and their chosen community.

  • Seven Ways To Live designed a 5-session workshop for the Cleveland Freedom Project's summer program, aimed at preparing youth ages 14-18 for high school and college. The workshop focuses on developing self-care plans, emphasizing self-love, and fostering a sense of community among participants.

  • Seven Ways to Live, in partnership with Cleveland Housing Network, joined the summit as the Keynote Speaker for the Community Healing Awareness Summit.

History

2012

Through the former program HPAC, Kimberly Inthavong co-founded a teen suicide prevention group that utilized creative video production, personal storytelling, and peer-to-peer interaction for students in 6-12th grade.

2018

Kimberly begins SEVEN at the Youngstown State University HPAC conference as a self-love and empathy-building presentation to encourage those who struggle with their mental health to persevere and seek treatment. Kimberly began to create presentations and class materials for youth through the AmeriCorps CRUSH program as an AmeriCorps member.

2024

SEVEN, now known as Seven Ways To Live, remains an established mental health organization that creates space for mental health in communities and school settings through curated classes, workshops, professional development sessions, presentations, and events/workshops for youth and adults. Kimberly continues to pursue her dream of public speaking.

Empathy & Storytelling

Hearing firsthand accounts of the emotional and psychological battles others endure opens our hearts and minds to the depth of their experiences. This exposure helps break down stigma and misconceptions, replacing them with understanding and compassion. By engaging with these stories, individuals can better appreciate the complexities of mental health, fostering a sense of shared humanity. This heightened empathy not only strengthens relationships but also creates a more supportive and inclusive community where mental health is recognized and respected.

Empathy and mental health wellness are deeply intertwined. Empathy plays a crucial role in both treatment and healing. When individuals are able to understand and share the feelings of others, it fosters a supportive environment where mental health challenges can be addressed with compassion and care. Empathy allows for deeper connections, which are essential in creating safe spaces for individuals to express their struggles and receive the understanding they need.

Storytelling builds community, empathy, and awareness.

Seven Ways To Live uses creative outlets to collect and share stories of our human experiences and provides free creative support to those who wish to share their story.
